The Body Clock

The Body Clock of Eastern philosophy relates to the Western concept of Circadian Rhythm; a name given to the "internal clock" that regulates, approximately, a 24-hour cycle of biological processes in animals and plants. The term "circadian" comes from Latin that literally means "around the day". Patterns of brain wave activity, hormone productions, cell regeneration, digestion, sleep, and other biological activities occur during this cycle which must be kept in balance to maintain good health.
